Return Policy

There are bound to be situations when you find yourself in possession of a textbook you should not have purchased. The WCU Campus Store will issue a full refund for books returned in their original condition and packaging.

Textbooks are 100% returnable for the first week of classes (until the end of add/drop period) with a valid register receipt. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. If you ordered online, you do not need a receipt

Books purchased after the first week of class are non-returnable. You must take care of returns and exchanges prior to the end of the first week of each class. All New books must be returned in new, original condition. Please don't write or highlight in your new books until you are positive you will keep them. New books with any use or damage are non-returnable.


Wrapped textbooks/packages that are new must be returned in their original, un-opened shrink wrapping or they cannot be accepted for returns. Do not open these packages until you are sure you will keep them!

Access codes can ONLY be returned within the first week of classes if the code has not been scratched off and/or downloaded.
eBooks can ONLY be returned within the first week of classes if it hasn't been downloaded.


We buy books back year-round during regular store hours. Prices paid at our daily buybacks are wholesale values which are based on national demand.

Two times throughout the year are prime time buyback periods, the last 2 weeks of Spring semester and the last 2 weeks of Fall semester. During these times we have trailers around campus doing buybacks or you can come to the WCU Campus Store. At this time we typically buy back books that are going to be used or are being requested by professors for the following semester, therefore we offer more money.

A benefit of doing buyback with us is that for every dollar we PAY YOU, you receive one point toward your loyalty account!
